Charles Talmadge Allen 1914-1978

 

Charles Talmadge Allen, or Uncle Talmadge to me, was one of the most favorite persons I  remember visiting. As I remember it he was a constable at the nuclear plant, or bomb plant as it was referred to at the time, in Barnwell SC. I later found he was referred to as Chuck Allen there. Uncle Talmadge was a big strong guy as I remember it and was always in a happy mood when he visited mom. I remember his children, Parker and Beverly. Beverly often visited when she was in nurses training at the old Columbia Hospital on Harden Street in Columbia.
